A little bit about our CSA -
We are offering one size, full-season CSA this year, which runs from June 5th through October 30th, for a total of 22-weeks of our farm-grown produce. Our produce is not certified organic but we follow the same practices using OMRI approved fertilizers and no chemical sprays. Each week you will have a diverse mix of 6 to 8 vegetables -some that you have seen before and others that you have not. A share will be a good mix of root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, turnips, etc.), leafy cooking greens (kale, chard, collards, etc), salad greens (lettuce, arugula, etc.), fruiting crops in the Summer (peppers, tomatoes, melons), herbs (basil, oregano, cilantro, etc), and other delicious vegetables (romano beans, corn, fresh shelling beans, Summer squash and more). We estimate that a CSA share will make about 10 to 15 meals, depending on your vegetable consumption. Recipes will always be provided from Farmer Mary (or crew) utilizing all the vegetables in a weeks share. Whether you are an avid home cook or just starting to dip your toes in - we feel that you will be able to use everything in your CSA share with confidence! At the end of the day, we just love food and select varieties that excite us - not only unique and gorgeous but full of flavor.
We do have on farm events as well which will be free to any CSA members including a CSA member appreciation day in the Summer that will be catered and a pumpkin patch ahead of Halloween. Having our members out on the farm is incredibly important to us so we are always thinking of fun ways to invite y'all out.
Our CSA members are the investors in our farm and we are committed to making you a priority in return. When you buy a CSA share, you are helping us to fund the season when cash is tight due to more challenging growing conditions. There are so many big investments to make in the Winter on a farm - fertilizer, soil mix, seeds, labor, new farm tools, and more. While we do offer payment plans, if you can pay in full, we ask that you please do. Thanks so much for considering our farm!
